It all started as an idea around a shared Sunday roast...
Every Sunday through the winter, we gather around the table for a delicious weekly ritual - a shared Sunday roast with our friends and neighbours. A chance to unwind and chat about the week ahead.
It was my son who first tossed out the idea. "What about a sauna?" and off we went that week to do some research. The next week the conversation evolved, "What about cold plunges to get the full benefit?" "I've been looking," says Will, "I've found some lovely vintage Oak barrels that will do the job, they even come with a built in step!"
The next few weeks, Edward and Will ironed out logistics. "We'll need a trailer put the sauna on, what about that old feeder wagon we have in the barn? To make the barrels accessible, the next week we brainstorm more ideas. "Let's raise a platform!" This would allow everyone to easily step in and out of the barrels with some decking rope for safety.
